DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion)
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (DEI) was formed in 2020 to build a community that is deliberately anti-racist and to heal any harms caused in the past using Restorative Justice practices. The GDP is a sponsor of the DEI Committee’s planned activities.

5/14/2021: Lincoln Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee Statement in Response to Chinatown violence:
We, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at Lincoln Elementary stand in unity as a multiethnic group fighting against racism and colorism within Lincoln Elementary, as well as within Oakland Chinatown, throughout our city, and beyond. We will not let systems of oppression and division destroy our community. We will not let the love we have for our black, brown, Pan Asian families, children, and staff at Lincoln Elementary be broken. The world is in deep mourning over the crimes and violence our Asian community has recently experienced in Chinatown. And we mourn TOGETHER and in SOLIDARITY. We are stronger united, and we will rise up and overcome hate and violence together. Through dialogue within our unified multiethnic, multiracial, and multicultural community, we will heal and become stronger as ONE
