Golden Dragon Project (PTO)

A Parent-Teacher Organization

Welcome! The Golden Dragon Project (GDP) is Lincoln’s Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). Whether this is your first year here or you are a long-standing member of this school family, we are so glad you’re here.

The GDP is a volunteer group that supports our teachers, students, and school families:

  • We host events like the annual Walk-A-Thon, book fair, and holiday events.
  • We support teachers by providing classroom supplies and volunteers.
  • We organize fundraisers to pay for art classes and music instruction, student achievement awards, and parent engagement activities.
  • We sell Lincoln t-shirts, sweatshirts, and gear
  • We build community, making connections and developing relationships between families, students, teachers, and administrators.

We encourage you to participate in the GDP by volunteering your time, volunteering your skills, volunteering at the school, or donating supplies or money. Whether you have an hour to help stuff goodie bags or are interested in joining our monthly GDP meetings, we'd love to see you. Everyone is welcome to participate as they are able.

We hold board meetings monthly throughout the school year. All Lincoln parents and guardians are welcome and encouraged to get involved with the GPD. Translation is available.

Golden Dragon Project Purpose Statement

We, the parents and guardians of Lincoln Elementary School students, establish the Golden Dragon Project (GPD), a volunteer organization, for the purpose of fostering academic knowledge, intellectual curiosity, imaginative thought, and social responsibility in our children. The purpose of GDP is to enhance and support the educational experience at Lincoln Elementary, to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement, and to improve the environment at Lincoln Elementary through volunteer and financial support. All parents and guardians of current Lincoln students, as well as Lincoln teachers, staff, and administrators, are eligible for membership.
