Wa Sung Santa Visit (for K-1 students only)

Wa Sung Santa visits all TK-1 students in December and provides each student with a small gift. For more information, please visit Wa Sung Community Club's website.

Lincoln Halloween Parade

Lincoln Elementary School has its annual Halloween Parade for all TK-5 students during the week of Halloween. The parade route starts on campus and continues around the school and Lincoln Square Park. Parents are encouraged to volunteer. Lincoln Walk-a-Thon

The annual Walk-a-Thon is held in October. Lincoln students walk laps around the school and Lincoln Square Park to raise money for teachers’ classrooms, art classes, music classes, the spelling bee, science night, and other enrichment activities. Lincoln students, teachers, and classes win prizes and a chance at a pizza party. Parents are encouraged to volunteer. Lincoln Square Summer Nights

Friends of Lincoln Square sponsor this family friendly event in Yard B every first Friday beginning at 5 p.m. from June to October. The event has games, food, booths with fun activities and information, prizes, and a raffle. The Golden Dragon Project runs an activity and information table at this annual event in the fall. We are always in need of parent volunteers to help staff the table, run the games or assist with other activities. Parents who are bilingual in Cantonese, Arabic, or Mongolian are highly encouraged to volunteer. Parents are encouraged to volunteer. Lincoln Parent Community Meetings

The GDP sponsored community meetings that feature award ceremonies for students who are fulfilling school values, legal aid nights, information on OUSD middle schools, information on accessing resources, student music performances, bingo night, and movie night. Wa Sung Lunar New Year Art Contest

This annual art contest invites all Lincoln students to submit artwork or calligraphy in celebration of the Lunar New Year. The first, second, and third place winners receive cash prizes. Additionally, the first place winner will have his/her artwork or calligraphy as the cover of Wa Sung’s Community Directory. For more information, please visit Wa Sung Community Club's website.

Lincoln Lunar New Year Concert

The annual Lunar New Year celebration invites all Lincoln families to join together for a meal, enjoy musical performances, and participate in games. Parents are encouraged to volunteer. Please contact Tina Lui in the Parent Center at pikshan.lui@ousd.org for more information.

Lincoln Book Fair

Lincoln’s annual book fair is held around the Lunar New Year. Parents are encouraged to volunteer to help set up books and merchandise for display, work the cash registers, restock shelves, and help to pack up books and merchandise not sold. Lincoln Open House and Art Show

Lincoln students and teachers show off students’ class work in the classrooms. After families visit their classrooms, they can explore the hallways and look at students’ art. Lincoln Carnival

Lincoln’s annual carnival is held in May. Lincoln students enjoy playing games, bouncy houses, a climbing wall, musical performances, magic and animal shows, and other fun activities. All funds raised help Lincoln hold the annual Science Night. Parents are encouraged to volunteer. Please contact Tina Lui in the Parent Center at pikshan.lui@ousd.org for more information.

4th Grade Camping Trip

All 4th graders embark on an overnight camping trip. Previous camping trips have been held in Camp Arroyo and Sierra Outdoor School in Sonora, California.

 

 
 

5th Grade Camping Trip

All 5th graders embark on a week-long camping trip. Previous camping trips have been held in Yosemite and the Santa Cruz mountains.

 

Lincoln 5th Grade Graduation

Lincoln Elementary holds a special graduation ceremony for all graduating 5th graders. After the ceremony is held in Yard A, the families enjoy cake and refreshments. Parent volunteers are needed to help with set up and serving cake and refreshments. Please contact Tina Lui at pikshan.lui@ousd.org for more information.
